AultBob Colaizzi graduated with a Major in Fine Art from The University of Notre Dame. During his professional career he founded a design firm focused on corporate annual report and other investor related design and production. Running the firm gave him little time to work on his own art. Following retirement he designed Art Deco furniture and then transitioned to two of his favorites, illustration and cars and airplanes. He has exhibited in the art galleries of the Dayton Concours and at Cincinnati’s Ault Park. For 2016 the Ault Park Concours has named him featured artist and commissioned him to design the event poster and program cover. He has been invited to the Concours at Keenland for 2016. He was named to create posters for the 15th Anniversary of the Collier Cup at Watkins Glen, the 2015 and 2000 Alfas at the Glen and eight consecutive posters for The Put-in-Bay Road Races Reunion. Automotive author Bert Levy commissioned Bob to create a piece of art to be awarded at The Amelia Island Concours in 2016 for a winning car restored by the owner’s own hand.
